One of our members, Jessie Pang, attended SEAYLC in Kuala Lumpur this October. She has written up an account [report-on-malaysian-law-conference-2007.doc] of what transpired at the conference in the hope that this will inspire more members to attend the next Malaysian National Young Lawyers Conference which will be held in Penang on 18th to 20th January, 2008. Details of and links relating to the upcoming conference can be found in the said report.
Filling up of vacancies in incoming Council December 19, 2007

The following practititioners have been appointed by the Council to fill up the vacancies in the incoming Council (which shall take office in January, 2008) which arose as a result of insufficient nominations at the last Elections :

Statutory member to be appointed by the Council December 17, 2007

The Council would like to invite those members who were NOT eligible to be nominated for election to the Council to put their name forward, for consideration by the Council, for the post of statutory member.
Any member interested in applying for the post of statutory member should contact the Secretary by 21st December, 2007.
